DOUGLAS PARK WILTON FC

Mini Roos (U5 – U11)

Tom Soccio team.jpg

Mini Roos is designed for boys and girls between the ages of U5 and U11.

Teams are formed that can be either a mixture of boys and girls playing against mixed teams from other clubs, or girls only teams playing against girls only teams from other clubs.

What is the format?

Game & Team Structure

Mini Roos is a fun, non-competitive introduction to soccer where the emphasis is on involvement and as many touches on the ball as possible. Children are organised into teams and play home and away games against other clubs. Different age groups play with varying numbers on the field with unlimited substitutions:

  • U5s – typically 6 players in the team playing 4v4 with 20 minutes per half

  • U6s – typically 6 players in the team playing 4v4 with 20 minutes per half

  • U7s – typically 6 players in the team playing 4v4 with 20 minutes per half

  • U8s – typically 9 or 10 players in a team playing 7v7 with 20 minutes per half

  • U9s – typically 9 or 10 players in a team playing 7v7 with 20 minutes per half

  • U10s – typically 11 or 12 players in a team playing 9v9 with 25 minutes per half

  • U11s – typically 11 or 12 players in a team playing 9v9 with 25 minutes per half

Dates & Venues

Training Sessions & Games

Mini Roos games are played on Saturdays (typically in the morning). Games are scheduled for every weekend other than Easter weekend.

Games are played on a home and away basis with home games played at Douglas Park Sportsground. Away games are played throughout the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly Shires.

Most teams train once per week on a weekday evening between Tuesday and Thursday. The day and timing of this training is mutually agreed between the parents and Coach once the team is formed.

How to Register

Getting Started

How do I register?

Registrations for the 2025 season are now closed. Registrations for the 2026 season will open in February 2026.

How can I get involved?

Douglas Park Wilton FC is run entirely by volunteers. Each team needs a Coach to help the players develop their skills and a Manager to ensure everyone knows when and where games and training are. Without these roles filled there will be no team. The roles are really rewarding.

Please consider whether you could fill one of these roles and let us know on our meet and greet day or via email at infodpwfc@gmail.com.

Who can I contact with questions?
